Do you ever feel like the world is turning, but in the wrong direction?
Over twenty years ago, in 1996, Susan Jeffers (author of Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway) wrote a book entitled End The Struggle and Dance with Life. The first line of this book is literally “We live in a difficult world”. Before that, in a recording dating back to the 70’s, Zen philosopher Alan Watts talked about our struggle with the way the world exists, and our search for the definition of truth. We’ve been arguing globally about who is right and who is wrong, for thousands of years. Is it any wonder we’re all so tired?
What if there is another way?
This week, set the intention to Dance With Life. Whatever is in your schedule for the next few days, see if you can roll with what the journey brings. Let go of the need to have all the answers, to rush to the end, and instead take time to enjoy the simplest of things. See if you can spend some time in silence, and see what it has to offer. Spend time on what really matters to you. And put a stop to conversations that consume your energy but yield little results.
