Monday Mojo – Feel-good motivation for the week ahead: Lean in

How do you cope when something hurts?

Many of us try to push things away.

We take a pill.

We numb out.

We pretend it’s not happening.

But resisting our fears and feelings doesn’t push them away, it pushes them down – and what goes down, must come up. If you find you explode in a wave of emotion when things aren’t working out, you might want to consider this instead.

This week, set the intention to Lean In. If something is painful, acknowledge that. Recognise that it’s happened, be open to your feelings (instead of numbing them out or trying to push them away.) Take stock (and a deep breath if it helps ) and remember that you have everything you need to carry on. It’s okay to talk about it. It’s okay to cry. You are brave. You are powerful. You’ve got this.
