Life becomes cluttered easily. Not just with objects and belongings we accumulate, but with thoughts that roll endlessly around in our heads. According to the Cleveland Clinic, we have 60,000 thoughts a day of which 90% repeat every day. Of those, around 80% are negative. It’s no wonder then, that we feel weighed down by everything we carry emotionally.
This week, set the intention to Create the Space. Carve out some you-time, not just in your diary but in your head as well. Give yourself permission to rest, make it okay to put yourself and your needs first. Dedicate a place in your home or discover a sanctuary nearby where you can put the noise of a busy world on hold. Try a technique like Mindfulness as an effective way to relax.
