When was the last time you cut yourself some slack?
We are so hard on ourselves.
We beat ourselves up.
Call ourselves names.
We feel like we’re just not quite good enough.
I hear you.
This week, set the intention to Be Gentle with Yourself. Remind yourself that you don’t have to be perfect in everything that you do. Doing your best isn’t a cliché for putting in half the effort, it’s an honest, hand-on-your-heart attempt, to get it right. And if it goes wrong, that’s okay. Take some time out for yourself this week. Have a nice warm bath. Sit under a tree and read a book. Spend some time in a garden or going for a walk. Do something that feels kind to yourself.
