Monday Mojo – feel-good motivation for the week ahead: Simplify Your Life
How simple is life today? I’m going to make a guess that right now, life feels a bit complicated. Not necessarily challenging (although it could be), and not always painful, but certainly complex.
You prepare.
You think of all the possibilities.
And then just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, something inevitably seems to go wrong. Nothing’s ever easy, right?
Us humans do have a habit of over complicating things, though. Sometimes we over-think them, or maybe we just plan and plan and plan because we want everything to be perfect. It makes sense.
But it also makes life, well…difficult.
This week, set the intention to simplify your life. Pay attention to the way your mind works when you try to get things done. If there are lots of thoughts and it all starts to feel messy, then it’s possible it’s getting complicated and it doesn’t have to be that way. Talk to a friend and see if you’re over thinking it, or try a technique like Mindfulness. Also have a look at what’s taking up space in your life and see if it’s time to have a de-clutter.
