Have you ever tried to force something?
I’m referring to the times when you pushed, and pushed, and pushed for the outcome you felt you needed.
Sometimes it works, and it’s powerful. It’s important to show people what we’re passionate about. If it hadn’t have been for the female Suffrage Movement, and the women who campaigned relentlessly, we wouldn’t have celebrated the centenary of our right to vote last week.
But there are times when we put all our eggs in one basket.
When we base our happiness on one single outcome.
When we consider this way the only way.
To the extent where we can lose sight of other opportunities, and actually push what we want – or think we need – away.
This week, set the intention to Release Control. Imagine what it would be like to consider that maybe there is a bigger picture you just can’t see yet, or a different adventure around the corner – but it means you taking a back seat for the next few days. Try, just for this week, to hang loose, let the winds of change dance between you and whatever’s happening right now, and see how it all turns out.
