Stress Awareness Month – Top Tips – Hug Someone You Love

April is Stress Awareness Month – here’s top tip #3: Hug someone you love.
When we are in an embrace the “cuddle hormone” oxytocin is released making us feel rather good. This is actual fact according to recent research.  And it doesn’t have to be a human, you can get a feel-good vibe from hugging a pet too.

Even better, the hormones released after having a hug are good for your physical health too.  According to some researchers, gentle consensual touching can lower blood pressure, improve your immune system and help manage pain.  What’s not to love about that?
