Monday Mojo – feel-good motivation for the week ahead: Uncage Your Wild

What does “wild” mean to you?

For a lot of people the word “wild” has negative connotations. If a woman “goes wild”, she’s being described as angry, going off the rails or out of control. It’s no coincidence that women who are now speaking out about what they need have been labelled as “Wild Women”. To call a woman wild in the old sense of the word is just another way to shame her in to being silent, and discourage other women from doing the same. 

But now, “Wild” is being transformed into something new. It’s being used to describe women who are rising.  

To be a Wild Woman is to set yourself free of what has you caged inside the idea that you “should” be something else. So have a think about what’s currently caging your “wild”.

This week, set the intention to Uncage Your Wild. Let out the part of you that wants to have your needs met. Imagine a world where you can be yourself, unapologetically, where you feel heard, and give some time to thinking what that would look like. Create a picture in your mind of what you like the future to hold, and think about what needs to happen – and how “wild” you need to be – to get there. You don’t have to do anything right now unless you’re ready, but you might find some of the resources in the Members Area useful.
