Monday Mojo – Bring It All

Monday Mojo – Feel-good motivation for the week ahead: Bring It All.

There is something about vulnerability isn’t there? Even the word can send a shiver down your spine. We’re encouraged, even as children, to ‘be brave’ and ‘keep going’. We’re never told to accept or embrace our vulnerability, just to suck it up.  Well, that can be exhausting.

Perhaps there are days when you hide parts of yourself or what you want, just to keep others happy. (We all do that, by the way).

Maybe you decide not to speak up (when you’d feel so much better if you did) or hide your skills or talents from others, because you don’t want to make someone else look bad. Maybe you feel vulnerable even thinking about just being nice to yourself. (Wow, doesn’t it feel uncomfortable having ‘me time‘?).

And yet bringing it all in to focus – who we are, what we like, what we can do and our vulnerabilities, including how we feel – is sometimes just what we need to do.

This week, set the intention to Bring It All. What you love, what you do well, what you need – all of it. Show the world who you are on every level.  Have difficult (but assertive) conversations, fight your corner, talk about your feelings and generally show other people how glorious you are.

When you’re at a meeting and you have an idea which you know is going to help the bigger picture, show up and talk about it. If you’re worried about yourself or someone closest to you, have a conversation which puts the elephant in the room – talk to your doctor if life is taking its toll.

It takes courage to show up and bring it all, but acknowledging our vulnerability – the perfect imperfection of who we truly are – is one of the most courageous things we can do.  If I can help, just let me know.

Ps. And you are glorious you know.
