Monday Mojo – feel-good motivation for the week ahead: Flow With It.
Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve thought about trying something new, had to go to a meeting or attend some (mandatory) training and decided the outcome before you even entered the room? E.g. “This is going to be boring”, or “What’s the point?”
It’s easy to assume, especially if we’ve been in similar situations or heard people say the same things (in a meeting, for example, when we have to hear the same messages over and again) that there’s nothing more to know. We can find ourselves deciding – before we’ve tried it – that we won’t like it, we won’t benefit and we won’t get any further. So we talk ourselves out of it.
Have you ever done that?
This week, set the intention to Flow With It. Rather than deciding what the outcome will be, try to be present, stay in the moment and see what comes from it. If you can, set a goal to get one positive thing from it and don’t forget to reward yourself for showing up.
