Quiet Club – mindfulness meditation peer groups in MK and Bedfordshire

When the world is noisier than ever, the need for quiet spaces is becoming more important, particularly for people who are at their best in relaxing surroundings.

Quiet Club is a peaceful gathering and peer group offering the opportunity for like-minded people to come together in quiet contemplation.

What’s involved?

When you arrive you’ll receive a warm welcome, and the opportunity for a cuppa. You can arrive early, sit and enjoy a cuppa, listen to the relaxing music playing, read a book, or just ‘be’ for a while.

Then a gentle bell sounds, marking time to sit and enjoy peaceful surrounding through mindfulness mediation. There will be brief instruction and an opportunity to chat afterwards (completely optional).

Please note: Quiet club is for people aged 19+.

The sessions last up to two hours (the activity is no more than 30 minutes). You don’t have to stay for the whole session and no previous experience of meditation is necessary.

The cost is £10 per person, to support costs of the room and refreshments, regardless of how long a person stays.

Please note: Clubs are not currently running.

Example timings:

  • 6.30pm Arrival and refreshments
  • 6.45pm Quiet period begins
  • 7.30pm Guided meditation activity with instruction
  • 8pm Feedback and discussion (optional)
  • 8.30pm Session ends
