Mental Health

We all have mental health. In fact the research suggests that 1 in 6 of us showed symptoms of poor mental health in just the last week, with 1 in 4 of us either having, or being close to someone with, a diagnosable condition.

The problem is that in the 21st century and certainly in the UK, we still find it hard to talk about how we feel. Even though mental health is now higher on the national agenda, people worry what others will think if they disclose that they’re struggling. Thankfully, help is at hand.

The most important thing to remember is that you’re not alone.  Organisations like the Samaritans are available 24/7 and other specialist organisations can help offer advice sheets and guidance on different conditions – charities like Mind, for example. Your doctor will also be able to talk you through treatment options, like talking therapy and wellbeing classes, available in your local area.
